Construction of Sanitation Facilities

  • In Mahama Refugee Camp GHDF:
    • Constructed 150 new improved dischargeable latrine blocks (4 stances each)
    • In total, GHDF has constructed 688 improved dischargeable latrines blocks in Mahama Refugee Camp since
    • In total, approximately 38,500 people have benefited from access to improved sanitation facilities constructed by GHDF.
  • In Kigeme Refugee Camp:
    • 4 blocks (12 stances) of improved dischargeable latrines were constructed at ADRA
    • 24 latrines stances were rehabilitated for People with Special Needs (PWSN).
  • GHDF did rehabilited of 150 latrine blocks built by partners in Mahama and Kigeme Refugee
  • GHDF constructed one block (12 stances) in Nyarushishi and 5 blocks of improved dischargeable latrine in Nyanza Reception
  • In Kijote Transit Center:
    • Improved 11 existing sanitation facilities (flush toilets)
    • Constructed 2 Water Closets, including a bathroom for AHA health
    • Constructed 2 soak pits and 2 septic tanks.
    • Rehabilitated 24 bathrooms.
